Mary is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and Indiana University School of Law at Bloomington. She practiced law for several years in Atlanta before moving to Nashville and developing an interest in photography. From 2006-2010 she studied photography at Nashville State Community College, where she received the Bogen Cafe Scholarship and served as the president of the Student Photography Society. In 2010, she received an Associates Degree in Visual Communication with an emphasis in Photography from Nashville State.

Mary now is a photographer based in Brentwood, Tennessee and specializes in commercial, editorial, fine art and portrait photography. Her work has been featured in a variety of publications, including Camera Arts Magazine, American Spirit, Middle Tennessee Equestrian , Nashville Arts and Entertainment, Nashville Interiors , and Photographer's Forum. She has been an Ambassador for the Center for Fine Art Photography in Fort Collins, Colorado, where she has been juried into three international exhibits - Abstractions (2007), Member Exhibit (2007), and Negative Space (2008). She has received many photography awards, including Best Interior Shot in the 2006 Shaker Workshops Competition, Honorable Mentions in the International Lucie Awards, and First Place - Professional in the 2012 Scenic Tennessee Photography Competition.

Mary is a member of the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP), Professional Photographers of America (PPA), and Professional Photographers of Middle Tennessee (PPMT).
