About Mary
Mary Rice is professional photographer living in Brentwood, Tennessee. She photographs on location and out of Click Studio, 6901 Lenox Village Drive, Suite 105, Nashville, TN.
She is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and Indiana University School of Law at Bloomington and practiced law for many years before switching things up to become a photographer. In 2011 she earned an Associates Degree in Visual Communication from Nashville State (NSCC). While at NSCC, she was the Bogen Cafe Scholarship winner and president of the Student Photography Society.
Upon graduation, Mary worked part-time as a second shooter for wedding photographers and as an assistant to Rachel Paul Photography. She also has worked part-time for Bella Baby Photography, the Iconic Group, and Real3DSpace where she honed her skills as a headshot photographer.
Mary's photography has been published in Middle Tennessee Equestrian, American Spirit (cover and feature), The Intriguing Vision of Sylvia Hyman, Trump L'oeil Ceramic Artist (2011), Photographer's Forum, Organizing and Big Scary Goals, Working with Discomfort and Doubt to Create Real Life Order (2019), Leading Hearts (cover), and Brentwood Lifestyles. Mary has completed commercial shoots for ads appearing in local publications including Nashville Interiors and Nashville Arts and Entertainment. Her photography has been featured in many companies' marketing materials.

Hobbies/interests? Travel, tennis, pickle ball, lunch with friends, and anything related to the Aloha Camps in Fairlee, Vermont.
Mary is a member of the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP), the Professional Photographers of America (PPA), and the Professional Photographers of Middle Tennessee (PPOMT).
She volunteers as a photographer for Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (formerly Flashes of Hope) at Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt (www.alexslemonade.org) and is a board member for AbleVoices (www.AbleVoices.org), a Nashville based non-profit which empowers persons with disabilities to communicate through photography.
